Europe publishes today the first edition of the European Aviation Environmental Report. The report is the result of a close collaboration between the European Commission, EASA, EEA and Eurocontrol. This first edition of the European Aviation Environmental Report provides a valuable source of objective and accurate information on the environmental performance of the aviation sector, and sets the scene for Europe’s ambition to make the sector more sustainable. As part of the revision of its responsibilities, the European Aviation Safety Agency is expected to update this report every 3 years and intends to reinforce its role in in the field of environment in order to promote the highest standards for environmental protection in aviation.
