This document contains the applicable rules on Normal-Category Aeroplanes (CS-23). It includes the Certification Specifications (CS) Amendment 6 and the related Acceptable Means of Compliance and Guidance Material (AMG & GM) to CS-23 Issue 4, displayed in a consolidated, easy-to-read format with advanced navigation features through links and bookmarks.
This Revision from December 2023 includes ED Decision 2023/002/R with the objective to incorporate 6 new and 23 revised consensus standards. Those standards were issued by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International and can be used as acceptable means of compliance with CS-23. The changes introduced with this ED Decision will contribute to reducing the need for certification review items (CRIs) and possible special conditions, and will improve harmonisation with other certification authorities.
The Easy Access Rules for CS-23 Amendment 6 and AMG & GM to CS-23 Issue 4 are available for free download on the EASA website:
- as a pdf in an easy-to-read format with advanced navigation features through links and bookmarks;
- as a dynamic online publication with filters and search functions for simple navigation using computers, tablets, and mobile phones; and
- in xml format with machine-readable content.
As the Easy Access Rules are generated through the eRules platform, they will be regularly updated to incorporate further changes and evolutions to their content.
