During the workshop, topics such as GNSS signal disruptions, including jamming and spoofing, and methods to mitigate their impact on technical systems, including navigation, have been discussed. Participants also exchanged best practices on contingency measures and addressed legal aspects concerning the planned amendment of Article 5 of the EU Commission Implementing Regulation 2018/1048 of July 18, 2018, establishing requirements for the use of airspace and operational procedures related to performance-based navigation systems.

The meeting gave the opportunity to exchange on this hot topic and to see how ANSPs, airlines and national aviation authorities are getting better prepared every day. EASA was represented by Cyrille Rosay, Senior Expert – Cybersecurity in Aviation, EASA and lead of the EASA GNSS Task Force.
