Europos aviacijos saugos agentūra yra pagrindinė Europos Sąjungos aviacijos saugos strategiją įgyvendinanti institucija. Agentūros uždavinys - užtikrinti aukščiausio lygio bendrus saugumo ir aplinkosaugos standartus civilinės aviacijos srityje.
Bendra strategija
Oro transportas yra saugiausia keliavimo priemonė. Skrydžių intensyvumas nuolat didėja, todėl būtina įgyvendinti Europos lygio bendras iniciatyvas siekiant, kad oro transportas išliktų saugus ir perspektyvus - nacionalinės institucijos ir toliau vykdo daugelį praktinių darbų - sertifikuoja orlaivius arba išduoda licencijas pilotams, tuo tarpu Agentūra kuria bendras saugumo ir aplinkosaugos taisykles Europos lygiu.
