Euroopan lentoturvallisuusvirasto
Euroopan lentoturvallisuusvirasto on Euroopan unionin ilmailuturvallisuuden keskus. Sen tehtävänä on edistää siviili-ilmailun turvallisuuden ja ympäristönsuojelun korkeaa tasoa.
Yhteinen strategia
Lentoliikenteestä on tullut turvallisin matkustustapa. Koska lentoliikenne kasvaa edelleen, on Euroopassa oltava yhteinen järjestelmä, jotta lentoliikenne olisi jatkossakin turvallista ja kestävän kehityksen mukaista. Koska kansalliset viranomaiset huolehtivat tulevaisuudessakin suurimmasta osasta operatiivisia tehtäviä, kuten yksittäisten ilma-alusten lentokelpoisuuden tai lentäjien lupakirjojen hyväksymisestä, viraston tehtävänä on kehittää yhteistä turvallisuus- ja ympäristösäännöstöä Euroopan tasolla. Se seuraa standardien noudattamista tekemällä tarkastuksia jäsenvaltioissa sekä huolehtii tarvittavasta teknisestä asiantuntemuksesta, koulutuksesta ja tutkimuksesta. (read more...)
