This team is the implementation team of EHEST. The European Helicopter Implementation Team (EHSIT) was formed with the purpose of developing safety enhancements using an agreed process. EHSIT develops and recommends detailed action plans for industry, Authorities and operators (including GA communities). Terms of Reference
EHSIT Sub-Teams
Operation and SMS
Specialist Team tasked to process the Implementation Recommendations (IRs) related to Operation and SMS aggregated by the EHSIT CT on the basis of the European Helicopter Safety Analysis Team (EHSAT) work.
Training
Specialist Team tasked to process the Implementation Recommendations (IRs) related to Training aggregated by the EHSIT CT on the basis of the European Helicopter Safety Analysis Team (EHSAT) work. Link to the Training webpage.
Regulation
Specialist Team tasked to process the Implementation Recommendations (IRs) related to Regulation. This team will identify potential areas for rulemaking from the analysis database and communicate its suggestions to EASA Rulemaking following the published EASA Rulemaking process.
Maintenance
A maintenance Toolkit is now published on the IHST website. This toolkit is offered as a resource for maintenance technicians everywhere and anywhere in the world. The format is a skeletal reflection of what is known in Europe and some other regions as a Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE). The intent of this toolkit is for helicopter operators to assess their existing maintenance activities against these guidelines.
Technology
Technology can be a powerful means to improve safety, as it brings solutions to known safety problems, including those of operational nature. The EHSIT Specialist Team on Technology has been created in March 2011 to assess the potential of technologies to mitigate safety issues. The main goal of the team is to list technologies and link them with accident causes and contributing factors as identified in the EHSAT analyses.
