The team is building on national initiatives and associations work and provides a forum to exchange on safety promotion related aspects. The Team is composed of representatives of aircraft and equipment manufacturers, regulators, aero-clubs and pilot associations, safety investigation authorities, and international and research organisations.
EGAST is organised in three layers representing different levels of involvement:
EGAST Level 1, is the Core-Team that runs the initiative. It is composed of around twenty participants reflecting the different GA sectors. The Co-chairs are elected by the Core-Team.
