The object is to carry out a feasibility study, an initial prototype design and a flight trial of an integrated FDM system for single engine light aeroplanes that in addition provides a flight data storage and retrieval capability. It will assist accident investigation and also permit the pilot / maintenance personnel to access flight information and be notified of operational exceedances.
