Welcome to the mini site of the 2011 Europe / US International Aviation Safety Conference
It is my pleasure to introduce you to the website of the 2011 Europe/US International Aviation Safety Conference.
For the last 28 years, this Conference has been a major forum for aviation professionals from around the world to discuss current issues and new initiatives in the area of aviation safety. This year we find ourselves in Vienna surrounded by the Imperial splendour of the Austrian capital. The cultural home of Strauss’s “Die Fledermaus” will hopefully inspire aviation professionals in the pursuit of elegant yet practical solutions to the challenges faced by modern aviation. In this endeavour we are supported by the Austrian Civil Aviation Authority, who will be our hosts from 14 to 16 June 2011.
As is the tradition, we are co-chairing the conference with the
Federal Aviation Administration and we have put together an agenda
addressing a current concern of the aviation world: Enhancing Global
Aviation Safety – Future Challenges.
Responding to industry expectations for new approaches that will help it
thrive by meeting the challenges while enhancing global safety.
High-level panellists from leading technical bodies will elucidate the
challenges in their areas. Three series of workshops and a range of
information sessions have been designed as the platform for a
constructive dialogue that will give the appropriate impetus in
designing solutions.
Under “Registration” you will instructions on how to register for the conference. All conference documentation will also be published on this website and you are invited to visit it regularly for updates.
I look forward to welcoming you in Vienna.
Sincerely,
Patrick Goudou
Executive Director
